Mood: waiting for wind
17th June 2011
Windsurfing: Pevensey Bay
Wind Direction: SSW
Wind Stength: 15-20 mph
Surf / Sea State: relatively flat
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: Some cloud, but fine
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Another pre-work session, not quite a dawnie as sun had been up couple hours by time I hit the water.
Met Ash at Pevensey, he was already rigged when I got there (benefit of living close to the beach I suppose)

Decided for a change from the norm and rigged the 6.9m Duke and SL Sport 78 to go blasting for a change .... looked pretty flat, and also a bit marginal.
It was marginal .... bogged out for a bit, turned round and managed to use a wave to get up and going ... second run I was a bit more pro-active going out and got going and blasted out to sea .... this increased pro-activity was subsequently rewarded by a subtle increase in the wind and I enjoyed about 90 mins of blasting back and forth.
We even spotted a seal playing about in the shallows which was cool .... second one i've seen in a week now with the other one over at St Mary's on Sunday.
Packed up just as a kiter launched from Rosetti and the wind was easing back ... off to the office for another tough day's work ....
